Tasmania Devils - 19th AFL team

The colours, logo and foundation guernsey for Tasmania's AFL and AFLW team have been released.

The club will be known as the Tasmania Devils, they will wear green, yellow and red, and their guernsey will feature a map of Tasmania at its centre with a red "T".

All three elements have long been associated with football in Tasmania, and they have been formalised as the club edges closer to its long-awaited entry into the AFL in 2028.

Aaron Donald retires with the 2nd most career sacks at DT, only behind Hall of Famer Johnny Randle. Enjoy retirement big fella!

If you didn’t catch the end of the Storm v Warriors game, do yourself a favour and watch the highlights. Down 26-18 with 3 minutes to go, this performance just showed why you can never count the Storm out. It’s not over until that fat lady (Craig Bellamy) sings (sprays you). A little outside-in ball to Papi brought the score back within 2 points and left a cliff hanger for the AAMI Park crowd.

NRL Tipping Leaderboard - Rd 2

Seemingly a confident round for 8 happy tippers last week who tipped a perfect score - earning them an extra 2 bonus points for the perfect 8/8. While 20 tippers just missed out, tipping 7/8. I based my tip on the last two years statistics with Eels being Panthers kryptonite, but the gamble didn’t pay off.

Another cracking game up in North Queensland with the Cowboys hosting the Knights in what is predicted to be two Top 8 teams. A classic Cowboys finish clinching a try at the death and then sealing the game in golden point. Both teams will be exciting to follow throughout the season.

Very surprised how many of you tipped Dragons after one decent game for Round 1 haha. Dolphins bounced back and showed that they can score points with more than one attacking threat. The Hammer put on an absolute A grade clinic, taking the Dragons boys back to school. In my personal opinion, Kyle Flanagan is Nathan Cleary from Temu — Super League contract soon..

Souths self implosion imminent. They fell off a cliff at the back end of last year and were the first team in NRL history to be leading the comp after 11 rounds and not make the Top 8 by the end of the regular season. There was rumours swirling with Sam Burgess and Josh Morris leaving the coaching staff before their contract was up. Some of the playing group said they fixed their issues in the pre-season and some said their was no issue to begin with. That in itself should sound the alarm. You now have ex clubman Josh Mansour (the sauce) giving a damning interview about head coach JD. They have also spectacularly dropped their halfback going into round 3. Our very own Jack Stevens is predicting South’s to be bottom 4.
