So I finally got around to watching Oppenheimer on the weekend and I couldn’t help but notice the similarities between Robert ‘Oppi’ Oppenheimer and Steve ‘Degenerate’ Askin. A picture paints 1,000 words, right? The movie was pretty fucking cool anyway.

Stevo’s take on UFC 299
The Aussies continue to show that our cultural heritage of loving a scrap pretty much anywhere can translate into a global sporting career with Jack Della Maddalena chalking up another win. Dustin the diamond Poirier shows the Frenchman that he isn’t afraid to send his ass to the guillotine with 9 attempted by round 2 in the end finishing him with a brutal KO. Finally the Suga Sean show goes on with one of his most beautiful performances against the only UFC fighter to ever defeat him, props to Chito, his chin is made of vibranium.
Asko’s Tennis Updates

Value play: Wozniacki $1.80 to beat Kerber. Two former world number 1’s clash Wednesday 11:00am.
NRL Tipping Leaderboard - Rd 1
Position | Name | Score | Total |
---|---|---|---|
1 | Brad has a small budoo | 5 | 5 |
2 | Pat Gilligan | 5 | 5 |
3 | RileyEllis00 | 5 | 5 |
4 | TraceyBarnes | 4 | 4 |
5 | Bryan Jacobsen | 4 | 4 |
Once we get into a few rounds we will do a Top 10 rolling leaderboard. But let’s take a look at last weeks tips. Not to dissimilar to last years Round 1 of the NRL where the whispers in the wind were:
“if you tipped more than 3/8, you don’t get NRL“.
As you can see our top tippers for the Yeah Nice Tipping competition was only a score of 5 correct tips. That says it all with a decent amount of upsets. Storm defeating Panthers for their opening game of the season had to be the biggest upset for me. Watching it live while I was just at a bucks party with a bunch of lads, it was hard to gage the flow of the game (had nothing to do with sinking heaps of piss 🫣). But the highlights showed pretty solid grit in defence from the Storm which they will take away with their heads held high.
Other notable upsets 😭
Knights (12) v Raiders (28)
Warriors (12) v Sharks (16) - Nice little comeback here
Titans (4) v Dragons (28)
Bring on Round 2 and don’t forget to submit your tips!
