Now they've done it again, delivering a decisive 40-22 victory over Kansas City to prevent the NFL's first-ever Super Bowl three-peat.

Mahomes faced relentless pressure throughout the game, as Philadelphia's defence broke through for six sacks. Two costly interceptions proved pivotal, largely due to a struggling Chiefs offensive line that never found its footing.

Meanwhile, Jalen Hurts and the Eagles offence executed flawlessly, capitalising on Kansas City's mistakes and maintaining their aggressive pace from start to finish.

The Eagles, with their loaded roster, appear poised to remain contenders for years to come. Can they set up a potential three-peat opportunity? Only time shall tell.

Kendrick Lamar made history at New Orleans' Caesars Superdome. Leading up to the show, speculation ran wild about potential guest appearances, from local legend Lil Wayne to Taylor Swift (given Lamar's recent work with producer Jack Antonoff on his album GNX).

Reading through comments on Instagram and X, some loved it while some are calling it “mid at best”.

Performance breakdown:

• After a short snippet from his song titled “GNX”, opened with "Squabble Up," including the pointed lyric "the revolution about to be televised, you picked the right time, but the wrong guy"

• Featured Samuel L. Jackson in a theatrical role as Uncle Sam, creating a narrative thread about authenticity versus mainstream expectations

• Performed his hits "Humble" and "DNA"

• Included his recent No. 3 hit "Euphoria," surprising many who expected him to avoid controversial material

• Delivered a medley from GNX including "Man at the Garden" and "Peekaboo"

• Teased "Not Like Us" with a reference to legal troubles, saying "I want to perform their favourite song, but you know they love to sue"

• Brought out SZA for their collaborations "Luther" and "All the Stars"

• Concluded with a performance of "Not Like Us” into “TV Off” complete with choreographed dancers, DJ Mustard going crazy and Serena Williams crip walking

Overall it succeeded in bringing an uncompromising hip-hop show to over 120 million viewers.
