In what can only be described as the basketball equivalent of switching your coffee for decaf without telling anyone, the Lakers and Mavericks have just executed the most mind blowing trade since someone convinced the Kings that Marvin Bagley was better than Luka Doncic.

NBA insider Shams Charania dropped a bomb so massive that Twitter's servers briefly considered early retirement: Anthony Davis is headed to Dallas in exchange for Luka Doncic. Yes, you read that right.

The full trade details, for those who haven't fainted yet:

Mavericks receive:

The news was so outlandish that Shams had to tweet "Yes, this is real" – the NBA equivalent of pinching yourself to make sure you're not dreaming.

Marc Stein confirmed that Luka didn't request a trade, making this whole situation even more bizarre. And let's not forget the cherry on top: Mavs owner Mark Cuban, who once claimed he'd sooner divorce his wife than trade Luka, is now presumably sleeping on the couch – both at home and in the office.

NFL Coming to Melbourne in 2026?

Looks like the NFL is taking its show Down Under! The Eagles and Rams are reportedly set to face off in Melbourne in 2026, kicking off what could be three games in the sports-mad city over the next few years.

Word is they'll play at the MCG - a massive 100,000-seat stadium that's usually home to cricket and AFL.

Both teams are NFL powerhouses - the Eagles are heading to the Super Bowl next week to take on the Chiefs, while the Rams grabbed their own ring in 2022. These two just clashed in a wild playoff game, with the Eagles edging out a 28-22 win in snowy Philly.

The NFL's playing it cool, saying they're "exploring the possibility" of an Aussie game, but they're clearly keen on growing their global footprint. They've already got games in London, Germany, and Brazil - the Eagles actually played in that Brazilian matchup this season.

The time difference could actually work out pretty sweet for US fans. An Sunday afternoon game in Melbourne would hit TV screens Saturday night in Philly and LA.

Word is there'll be a whole week of NFL festivities in Melbourne, with fan zones and viewing areas scattered around the city. But right now, the Eagles have bigger fish to fry - they're gearing up to face Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs, who could make history as the first three-peat Super Bowl champs.
