$100 to $10k - Round 2 βœ…

We have now successfully completed 2 rounds of our unofficial $100 to $10k challenge with a ballsy win at the death of last weeks Roosters v Storm game. We are still running with our current strategy - one hand picked bet based off stats from our boy NRL Odd Stats, and the other being a group choice or putting a poll out on our Instagram story for the punters to decide.

Round 2 win: $350 β†’ $980

Round 3 bet (pray for us):

Yeah Nice Punters Club

What a rollercoaster of a tipping round. We started out with what was always going to be one of the games of the round with Roosters vs Storm at Trellianz Stadium. As mentioned above, us boys were riding this game hard with our $350 stake on a 2 leg same game multi for our $100 to $10k challenge. I was still confident with 15 minutes despite Coates yet to score as Storm had plenty of butchered opportunities when looking ominous heading into the Roosters red zone. A 73rd minute try sent us all crazy and started off the weekend with a bang.

If you listened to our podcast last week, we all were leaning towards Eels giving the injury depleted Dolphins a touch up in Darwin. Little did we know that Eels have lost all 4 matches up there and have 1 more next year up there that is classed as a home game for them. Local talent Trai Fuller was showing once again why he should be a starting NRL player. If he continues to play at that standard each week, I can see the QRL star getting picked up by another club if the NRL Dolphins can’t fit him in their roster.

My hit and miss Bulldogs finally showed the nation why they can be a genuine threat this year and the next few years to come, smashing the Knights 36 - 12. Sadly for my fantasy team, Ponga was ruled out with an ankle injury after 52 minutes. Early indications show that Ponga may be on the sideline for an extended period, worst case, out for the remainder of the season which will be a massive blow for the Knights 2024 campaign.

Notable upsets based off what most people tipped:

  • Dragons (30) v Warriors (12)

  • Eels (16) v Dolphins (44)

  • Sharks (42) v Cowboys (6)
